How Fat Tony works

Horse racing machine learning and conversational AI help you study the field, understand probability estimates and practise with virtual units.

Start with the horse racing models

Fat Tony uses specialised CatBoost models for thoroughbred and harness racing. Each trains separate WIN and PLACE estimates using captured form, race conditions, field-relative information and available market prices.

Model estimates and written chat answers serve different purposes. The numerical models estimate outcomes; Ask Fat Tony provides conversational analysis of the available race information.

Choose a race and ask a question

  1. Create a free account and select the race you want to study.
  2. Ask about runners, form, available prices or race tactics. Follow up to explore the reasoning.
  3. Review the analysis alongside current scratchings and race information. A prediction is an estimate, not a result.

Your free account includes six questions in a rolling 24-hour window. Subscription options are available in your account.

Practise with virtual racing

The Sandbox lets you test ideas using imaginary Tonys. Totalizers are private race-day competitions. Virtual units have no cash value, and Fat Tony does not accept real-money wagers.

All racing predictions carry uncertainty. Historical model results and virtual returns do not guarantee future performance.
