Know the course

A little history of Trentham

The Wellington Racing Club developed Trentham as its new home in the early twentieth century. The first meeting at the course was held in 1906, with the Wellington Cup already established as the club’s signature race.

What to look for in the form

Trentham’s generous dimensions can reward horses that settle and finish strongly, particularly when the track has been affected by Wellington weather.

Fat Tony says: Track knowledge helps, but it never replaces current form. Compare today’s distance, surface, draw and likely pace before making a call.
